Leuven is a student town first, so most newcomers rent a kot, a single furnished room in a shared house, usually around €500 to €700 a month including utilities. KU Leuven's official Kotwijs platform and UCLL listings are the safest places to start, and rooms go quickly before September, so begin your search in spring. Always register your address at the city once you arrive, you need it for almost everything here.
